Reno Staffing is looking to expand an already established team of fresh meat processors.

 Shift: Monday- Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Pay: depending on individual experience
Location: Reno, Nevada 89502
Summary:  
Work in slaughtering, meat packing, or wholesale establishments performing precision functions involving the preparation of meat. Work may include specialized slaughtering tasks, cutting standard or premium cuts of meat for marketing, and wrapping meats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned:

• Prepare specialty cuts as needed

•  Operation of tools in a safe manner

•  Cut and prepare meat in a timely fashion.

• Ensure cleanliness, following all sanitation procedures

•  Maintain equipment in proper working order

• Slaughter, skin and eviscerate animals as scheduled

•  Wash, weigh and label carcasses

• Ensure kill floor cleanliness, following all sanitation procedures

•  Maintain records with meticulous accuracy as needed

• Understand and follow humane slaughter and animal welfare procedures

• At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional job related activities not specifically outlined above.

Competency: 
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• The ability to work in cold and/ or hot temperatures
• The ability to bend, lift, crouch
• The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. 
• Have a strong stomach!
• Experience in meat processing
• Able to work in close quarters with others

A resume and interview are required to be considered for this position. A drug test is also required. You will be tested for THC.
