Part-Time Bookkeeper for Property Management Company

Seeking a mature, responsible, energetic, and organized individual with good people skills to join a small, casual office setting for a family-owned property management company.   This is a permanent part-time position near downtown Menlo Park.  Position will be 2-3 days per week, approximately 16-18 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Quickbooks (Online & Desktop versions), Excel and Word.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting practices
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • High integrity
  • Sense of urgency
  • Respect for confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable – enter by class across multiple accounts in multiple entities
  • Print checks and manage on-line payments
  • Reconcile company credit card
  • Record and deposit rent payments and laundry revenue
  • Manage insurance policy and property tax accounts in multiple entities
  • Purchase office supplies
  • Maintain repair and maintenance files for multiple properties
  • Show apartments for rent to prospective tenants (on occasion)
  • Respond to property management questions by tenants, including contacting and scheduling repair professionals
  • Filing and recordkeeping and other financial or administrative duties as required
  • Year end 1099 filings

Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
