Our San Francisco or Portland area location is seeking an ambitious and experienced product marketing leader to join our growing team as a Senior Product Marketing Manager reporting into Director of Product Marketing. Product Marketing Managers at Vesta are experts on the market problems we solve for our customers. They are self-starters who deeply empathize with customers and prospects, continuously work to educate them on the value Vesta provides, and tirelessly seek new and creative ways to solve emerging market problems at scale. They are communication wizards responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for Vesta platform and solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to innovate and re-think how we connect with our customers and prospects globally. Working in close partnership with Vesta product management, you will own the go-to-market strategy for our solutions for Telecommunications and eCommerce and collaborate with other teams at Vesta to execute on that strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own messaging and positioning of Vesta solutions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on our Telecommunications and eCommerce solutions
  • Craft and develop compelling audience-specific messages and tools, including product videos, customer success stories, demos, whitepapers, presentations, how-to guides, ROI calculators, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with product management team and work with them to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages
  • Own competitive intelligence for your respective area
  • Engage with Press/Journalists/Industry Analysts as appropriate
  • Assist with creation of website content
  • Work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including sales, business development, finance, and marketing to achieve business goals

Education & Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or other relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years relevant industry experience in a Solutions Marketing or related role
  • 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting differentiated positioning and marketing content in a highly competitive space
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a Product Marketing or Solutions Marketing role in a global company
  • 2+ years at Telecommunications or eCommerce industry
  • Experience working with enterprise sales
  • Experience with data analytics in business context 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • MBA degree  
  • Prior work experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, training, product management role
  • Experience with launching new and disruptive products/services and growing awareness and adoption for them
  • Experience speaking at industry events (physical or virtual)
  • Experience marketing or selling security software or services
  • Experience with implementing and running customer surveys

Competencies Required:

  • Strong ability to explain complex technology in non-technical terms
  • Good understanding of complex enterprise sales cycle
  • Familiarity with B2C marketing techniques
  • Working knowledge of consumer motivations and online behavior, preferably in a global context
  • Very strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver customer presentations and product demonstrations to customers
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of one or more technology areas: payments processing, fraud detection and prevention, mobile application security

Preferred Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM tools (HubSpot preferred)
  • Technology evangelism skills and experience
  • Ability to communicate and present to senior leadership to drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs
