Job Type: Part-time (20–28 hours/week); evenings & weekends as needed for events

Job Begins: Training mid-September, Store opening early October 2026

Overview

We`re looking for a hands-on retail leader who loves great food, community, and

storytelling. You`ll manage day-to-day store operations while owning our marketing

calendar and social media presence—from planning and posting content to launching in-

store promos, tastings, and classes. This role blends customer service, merchandising, and

digital marketing. You`ll be working directly with Hollie, and as a small business,

Core Responsibilities

Store Operations & Customer Experience

• Open/close the store; maintain a clean, welcoming environment aligned with brand

standards.

• Deliver exceptional, friendly service; resolve customer issues promptly and

professionally.

• Merchandise shelves and displays; ensure pricing/signage accuracy; track best sellers

and slow movers.

• Support and lead small team members during shifts

Marketing, Content & Community

• Own the 90-day marketing calendar (social, email, in-store promos, events); align with

product drops and seasons.

• Create and post platform-appropriate content (Instagram, Facebook, Reels/short video;

TikTok).

• Write engaging captions and stories that reflect our brand voice; respond to

DMs/comments during business hours.

• Capture simple photo/video content in-store; coordinate with owner for larger shoots

as needed.

• Grow and maintain our email list; draft 4 short newsletters per month; track open/click

performance.

• Plan and support in-store events (e.g., wine tastings, classes, high teas): run-of-show,

signage, RSVPs, post-event recaps.

Admin & Reporting

• Maintain daily checklists and shift notes.

• Report marketing metrics to Hollie (follower growth, reach, engagement, email list

growth) with simple insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail, hospitality, or specialty foods

• Comfort creating short-form content (reels/stories) and writing friendly, on-brand

captions.

• High level knowledge and experience on Instagram and TikTok

• Canva knowledge; light photo/video capture and editing.

• Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure; strong communication and follow-

through.

• California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

• If assisting with wine tastings: CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (or

obtain within 60 days).

• Experience with Toast POS systems and basic retail reporting.

• Local community knowledge and enthusiasm for small makers/artisans.

• Prior event support or coordination experience.

• College degree preferred or work experience equivalent

Schedule, Compensation & Perks

• Typical schedule: 3–4 shifts/week including at least one weekend day; evenings for

events as needed.

• Starting pay: $28 per hour; employee discount on products; growth potential as we

scale.

• This role is on-site; reliable transportation is required.
