Our physical therapy practice in North Oakland is seeking a part-time Front Office administrative assistant/receptionist. We are celebrating our 36th year in business. We believe in work/life balance and strive for a stress-free work environment.
The job is approximately 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. We offer the following benefits to part-time employees: Paid sick leave, holidays, vacation, and a yearly bonus. Unpaid time off for significant life events is negotiable.
Duties for Front Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist include:
1. Managing patient registration and appointments: answering a high volume of phone calls, assisting patients in making appointments, and answering general questions.
2. Reminding patients of upcoming appointments via phone/email/text.
3. Checking patients in and out on the day of their appointment, which includes collecting payments.
4. Entering registration and insurance information on our medical records and billing software.
5. Checking insurance eligibility.
6. Assisting with accounts receivables by following up on unpaid claims, copayments, etc.
7. Maintain patient waiting areas, office files, and desk areas in an organized manner that represents a professional atmosphere.
8. Other typical front office responsibilities include filing, ordering supplies, and scanning documents.

7. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
