We are currently seeking a Sustainability Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Francisco, CA. Details for the position are as follows.

Job Description:

• Pay: $48 - 51/hr (W2)
• 6-month contract assignment
• Hybrid in San Francisco (3 days onsite)
• You will support corporate sustainability reporting, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, emissions analytics, and compliance programs
• Perform Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions calculations, with a strong focus on Scope 3 accounting
• Analyze, clean, and validate large activity datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency in emissions reporting
• Support third-party assurance audits and CDP disclosures by preparing data, documentation, and process narratives
• Perform quality control and reporting using advanced spreadsheets and sustainability data management tools

Qualifications:

• Experience in greenhouse gas accounting, including Scope 3 accounting methodologies
• Background in ESG reporting, corporate sustainability, or sustainability data analysis
• Experience supporting a GHG inventory through third-party assurance or audit
• Working knowledge of Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) methodologies, including spend-based, activity-based, hybrid, average-data, and supplier-specific calculations
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables, lookups, array formulas, and quality control across large datasets
• Experience preparing audit documentation, process narratives, and supporting materials for third-party assurance
• SQL and Python experience is preferred
• Experience with large, unstructured datasets or Tableau/data visualization preferred
• Familiarity with Salesforce Net Zero Cloud and AI coding tools such as Claude Code is a plus
