Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a stable organization in Alameda, California to identify a Staff Accountant for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in general accounting who is looking to join a collaborative team and grow within a stable organization.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze and resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support financial reporting and account analysis activities
• Assist with audit preparation and requests
• Monitor account balances and ensure timely reconciliations
• Collaborate with internal departments to support accounting operations
• Perform other general accounting duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience supporting month-end close activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Pay Rate: $33.90 to $37.87
