We believe in pay equity, full health and welfare benefits, and a place for meaningful work.Position Summary: The primary responsibility is to provide operational support to the Heath warehouse by maintaining stock, packaging support, and transfers of all Heath items. Assist in the processing and documentation of all incoming retail shipments, and work with the store staff and shipping staff on cycle counts and replenishment of both Heath Home and dinnerware.Responsibilities:Provide support to shipping and packing team on picking and packing of customer ordersAccurately stage, ship and/or load customer orders for delivery of product to customers without damage or errorsAdhere to all safety policies and procedures; escalate safety concerns to Warehouse Lead or Warehouse and Shipping ManagerKeep all stock areas organized and clean, free of any excess packagingMaintain stockroom efficiency by helping to unload trucks and receiving merchandiseWhen helping to receive, ensures Warehouse Lead receives any/all packing slips and is advised of any damage or discrepanciesEnsure inventory balances remain accurate by proper communication and completion of documentation as requiredAdvise Warehouse Lead or Warehouse and Shipping Manager of shortages or discrepancies so that inventory can be kept accurateProvide excellent customer service both internally and externally, focus on teamworkMaintain a secure warehouse environment for company-owned products and have an awareness of loss preventionHelp prepare stock transfer for weekly deliveries which includes pulling items, auditing, and packaging when neededEnsure all products are packaged to specification and are meeting all Heath standards for QCQualifications:Experience working in a warehouse environment and to be "hands-on"Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, and calmExcellent communication skills both written and oralProficiency with basic Mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Excellent attention to detailRespect safety rulesPhysical Requirements (Medium to Heavy):The ability to transport finished goods (up to 30 lbs. at a time). Total weight lifted per day can be 3500 to 5000 lbs.Other activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, grasping, and feeling.Work Environment/Hours/Compensation: This position is a full-time, 40 hours per/week, seasonal role that is on-site at our Warehouse and Shipping center in The Mission District. This position pays $25 an hour. Hours are 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Overtime may be offered.
