Drivers are required to operate in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely service. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00. Job responsibilities include completing a daily vehicle inspection form, ensuring a pleasant and clean atmosphere in and out of the vehicle, applying all safety equipment, operating company vehicles weighing under 26,000 lb (GVW) transporting passengers or supplies, driving defensively, safely, and cautiously, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills, picking up and dropping off guests at designated locations, lifting guest luggage weighing up to 80 lb, fueling, cleaning, and inspecting the vehicle, identifying maintenance and safety issues, completing vehicle logbooks, working with the Transportation Office dispatcher, assisting with clerical work, selling and dispensing propane, operating a cash register, understanding machinery and chemicals, attending department and safety meetings, sharing innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations, and knowing and following all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy, as well as rules of the road.
Qualifications include being age 21 years or older, having 1 year or more of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience, being able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, passing a DOT physical examination and obtaining a medical card, passing a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participating in the random drug/alcohol testing pool, completing and passing a Defensive Driving Course, experience driving in all weather conditions including winter weather and tire chain installation, and little or no travel required (less than 10%).
