Responsibilities:

  • Excellent employment opportunity for a Packaging Technician - II in San Dimas, CA and later La Verne, CA Site. Monday to Friday 5am to 1:30pm
  • Works on assignments that are basic to routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviations from accepted or usual practices is required.
  • Works on basic to routine assignments following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Master Batch Records and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Works in conjunction with other Inspection Technicians under the guidance of a Group/Team Leader.
  • Works on Inspection of company products; assists in the inspection of Clinical Trial Material, and components.
  • Sets up and operates inspection equipment including leak detection, over seal laser, and semi-automatic inspection machine.
  • Prepares cleaning solutions and cleans inspection areas, including walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment.
  • Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in area.
  • Assembles components for shipping of products.
  • Performs basic ERP/MES transactions.
  • Receives well-defined instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Reports variance or deviation from standard procedures to department management.
  • Takes variant action only with approval of department management.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, HS Diploma, College Degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in a cGMP related industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records
  • Demonstrates sufficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate basic information to peers and team lead.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and administrative policies.
  • Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work with only moderate supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must be able to work holidays
  • Must be able to operate and qualify on inspection equipment
  • Must be able to see and distinguish all colors and shades
  • Must be able to stand for a continuous 4 hours
  • Must be able to change into company gowns and work attire as required for the task
  • Occasionally lift 50lbs
  • Routinely lift 25lbs
  • Required Medical Testing:
    • Blood work (CBC, CMP, Lipid Profile)
    • Urinalysis - Dipstick
    • Physical - Non-DOT
    • Vision Test - (Ishihara, Jaeger, Snellen)
    • Audiometric Evaluation
    • Physical Agility Test (to 50 lbs.)
