Administrative Assistant (PT)

  2026-07-24     Edvance     San Francisco,CA
Description:

Our Purpose

EDvance College is a nonprofit, accredited institution of higher education built for and by the early education workforce. We reimagine higher education so it works for working educators and strengthens outcomes for children, families, and communities.

Our mission is to empower the early education workforce to learn, transform, and lead through reflective, practice-based higher education. Through accessible, earn-and-learn degree pathways, we support educators to earn their degrees, advance in the field, and lead change in their communities.

Our model is grounded in real classrooms and designed around the realities of working adults. We combine practice-based coursework, high-touch support, and strong employer partnerships to remove traditional barriers to higher education and connect learning directly to practice.

As EDvance continues to grow, we are moving from a start-up institution into a more scaled and integrated model. This means building stronger systems, deepening alignment across teams, and expanding our reach while staying grounded in the relationships and student-centered approach that define our work.

We are looking for team members who are deeply committed to educators, open to change, and motivated to build and refine systems that support student success at scale.

Your Impact

As an Administrative Assistant at EDvance College, you'll strengthen the systems that keep our onsite San Francisco office moving—so leaders and teams can stay focused on serving working early childhood educators. - Draft, proofread, and format correspondence and documents with high accuracy
- Support basic tech and tool workflows across Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace
- Track tasks and timelines using tools like Asana and maintain database entries

- 1+ year experience as an administrative assistant or office manager
- Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills

A Day, In Motion

You start by scanning the day's priorities and resetting the rhythm of the office. A last-minute Board call appears—so you shift the President's schedule, confirm attendance, and make sure materials are ready. Between quick check-ins, you greet a visitor, handle a time-sensitive travel update for a colleague headed to a conference, and keep documents polished before they go out the door.

When something breaks—a laptop hiccup or a login snag—you jump in, troubleshoot, and get the team back on track. Throughout the day, you keep details tight, communication clear, and the workspace running smoothly. By afternoon, you're prepping Board packets, making website updates, preparing a reimbursement for the President, double-checking final edits, and closing the loop on open items so tomorrow starts strong.
