We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on multifamily affordable housing projects throughout the Greater Bay Area. Our projects typically range from $15M$40M and include a mix of rehabilitation and ground-up construction, with project durations commonly lasting 1824 months. You will work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with budget, schedule, and quality expectations. Successful candidates are proactive leaders who excel at planning, communication, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Coordination Lead day-to-day field operations on multifamily construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and project stakeholders Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure successful project execution Establish and maintain organized jobsite operations and field offices Walk the project daily to monitor progress, quality, and safety Scheduling & Documentation Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Management Prepare and communicate short-term look-ahead schedules Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation in Procore Support project communication through RFIs, submittals, meeting participation, and coordination efforts Safety & Quality Implement and enforce company safety policies and jobsite procedures Ensure all personnel comply with safety requirements and project standards Identify and resolve quality concerns before they impact schedule or budget Coordinate punch list completion, inspections, and project closeout activities Leadership & Team Development Lead and mentor field personnel Drive accountability, productivity, and teamwork across project teams Support the professional growth and development of field staff Foster a positive, collaborative jobsite culture Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership role Experience with a general contractor strongly preferred Experience managing multifamily, affordable housing, rehabilitation, or complex commercial construction projects preferred Strong knowledge of construction systems, sequencing, procurement, scheduling, code compliance, and jobsite safety Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Experience coordinating multiple trades and project stakeholders Proficiency with Procore and construction documentation workflows strongly preferred Familiarity with Bay Area construction markets and subcontractors is a plus Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area and able to regularly work from project sites throughout the Greater Bay Area This position is field-based and does not offer remote work or relocation assistance Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $130,000$170,000 annually Meaningful performance bonus opportunities Discretionary profit-sharing program 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development opportunities Job Type: Full-time, Exempt Location: Greater Bay Area project sites Employment Type: Full Time
