About the RolePlanet is currently seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining physical as well as systematic inventory accuracy at any given time. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented, motivated, driven individual with a proven experience in managing conflicting priorities and tasks.You will also work in concert with operations, manufacturing and supplier quality teams. These teams will rely on your capability to pinpoint at what we have, where do we have it and how many do we have of the critical components used to build spacecraft and systems surrounding them.Impact You'll OwnMaintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.Implement and manage processes to cycle count parts and improve inventory accuracy.Lead periodic inventory cycle counts on hardware, passives and IC parts using automated equipment.Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing shipments, including receiving and logging products.Responsible for timely and accurate transaction of goods in the Inventory system.Assist in kitting parts for production or NPI builds.Work with Supply Planners to resolve issues related to inventory quality, damages, or discrepancies.Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.What You BringBachelor's degree in a relevant field.2+ years of relevant experience.Data analytical and proficient in inventory management techniques, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.Proven experience of cycle counting and physical inventory audits will be critical to hire.Excellent time management skills & communication skills (written and oral).Ability to work well, independently, with others and experience meeting deadlines.Remarkable problem solving skills.What Makes You Stand OutExperience with Excel/Sheets.General understanding of electrical and electronic components including PCBs/PCBAs.Functional knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (NetSuite a plus).Experience with Jira Workflow software.Understanding of procure-to-pay cycle, structured BOMs (Bill of Materials) and basic supply-demand planning knowledge.Familiarity with barcode scanning technology and automated inventory tracking systems.Experience with international shipping (commercial invoices, AES filing).What's In It for You?Spotlight of compensation:Estimated Min Rate : $30.00Estimated Max Rate : $35.00Benefits include:Medical, prescription, dental & vision benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week)Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week)Life & disability insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week)MetLife voluntary benefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401K retirement savings planDirect deposit & weekly e‑payrollReferral bonus programsCertification and training opportunitiesNote: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
