Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Chef/Cook to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth and successful kitchen operation by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic cooking tasks. Responsibilities include preparing and portioning ingredients for recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, assisting the kitchen team with basic cooking and food preparation tasks as needed, following all food safety and sanitation standards, communicating effectively with the team to maintain workflow and meet service deadlines, preparing and executing high-quality meals for special events, collaborating with event staff and coordinators to ensure smooth service, setting up and breaking down cooking stations in various event environments, maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and presentation standards, and engaging with guests when appropriate to enhance the culinary experience. Requirements include a Food Handlers Cert, minimum 1 year experience in a kitchen or food preparation role, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks, strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, excellent communication and teamwork skills, flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, and reliable transportation to and from the prep kitchen and at times to setup or deliver food catered orders.
