Commercial Litigation Associate

Location: Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA

Salary Range: $260,000 – $390,000

A leading national litigation practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its LA or SF office. The team represents clients in complex business disputes across a variety of industries, including energy, technology, financial services, and life sciences.

This role offers substantial responsibility and direct client exposure. Associates work closely with partners and clients on all phases of litigation, from case strategy and discovery through depositions, arbitration, and trial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Manage day-to-day case responsibilities, including discovery and motion practice
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Participate in hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Work directly with clients and develop litigation strategy
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Prior BigLaw experience preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience managing sophisticated litigation matters
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Team-oriented approach and strong work ethic
  • California Bar admission preferred
