We are seeking a skilled Teradata Developer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions on the Teradata platform. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience in ETL processes, and a deep understanding of Teradata architecture and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros in Teradata.
  • Implement ETL workflows using tools like Informatica, BTEQ, or Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
  • Optimize queries and manage performance tuning for large-scale data environments.
  • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Teradata SQL, joins, indexes, and explain plans.
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, or similar).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Teradata Vantage and advanced analytics.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for Teradata integration.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
