AMPS' mission is to provide a rigorous college preparatory education and character development program that will prepare students from underserved communities to succeed in college and beyond.
The Board will support the work of AMPS and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Board-CEO relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.
Specific Board Member responsibilities include:
AMPS' Board Members will serve a four-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for one additional term. Board meetings will be held monthly and committee meetings will be determined by each committee, and held in coordination with full board meetings.
Qualifications:
** Service on AMPS Board of Directors is without remuneration, except for approved administrative support, travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members' duties.
