As a key member of a growing team, the CIO will report to the COO. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate successful experience working independently, identifying opportunities for growth and identifying risks to the business. Candidates for this role must feel comfortable with hands on system administration and support, providing one-on-one, white glove service.
The CIO is responsible for the overall strategic and operational aspects of current and future technologies of the business including the management and operations of the entire IT department. The ideal candidate will have experience planning and implementing technology solutions to support staff in their strategic goals, coordinating and overseeing projects related to system and business development, and maintain IT systems and equipment functionality within scope limits of budget, time and priority specifications of the company.
The CIO has a critical role in ensuring that existing and future IT services are flexible and supportive to the developing needs of the business and contributing to the business goals of the company and its subsidiaries; operate in a secure and compliant manner at all times; demonstrate value for money; and address all current and future IT operational priorities, risks and opportunities while considering the long-term needs of the organization.
The CIO is responsible for maintaining proven practices in distribution and supply chain technology, infrastructure and facilities capacity to support a growing, distributed organization, and emerging business opportunities as they are defined by the business. Fundamentally, the CIO should be central to helping the business achieve and maintain a high level of operational maturity, e.g., Standardized, Measured, and Automated.

This position is for you if you
University degree in computer science, business administration, or information management; or equivalent qualifications.
Minimum 10 years of direct work experience in an IT management capacity.
Minimum 3 years of executive-level experience.
Experience in building an IT infrastructure in a fast growth organization.
Solid foundation in the management of information in an organization, from planning and systems development to disposal and/or long-term preservation.
Significant experience in strategic planning and coordination of approaches to manage complex challenges, while championing service excellence.
Advanced overall knowledge of networking, operating system, and server architectures.
Highly effective project management skills.
Skilled at identifying and evaluating new technological developments and gauging their appropriateness for the business.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of applicable IT laws and regulations.
