Job Description Job Description Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Senior Fire Protection Engineering Supervisor to their San Francisco team!Responsibilities:Design/review fire protection and life safety systemsCoordinate project with other disciplinesParticipate in design review meetingsPrepare comprehensive fire protection packages (fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke management and life safety)Create specification documentation and perform calculations for fire suppression and alarm systemsEvaluate building/life safety requirementsPerform construction administration dutiesCoordinate approval for all stages of project with local authoritiesPerform site evaluations and document existing fire protection systemsComply with company and site safety policiesRequirements:B.S. Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree from ABET accredited programMaster's degree in Fire Protection Engineering preferred5+ years of fire protection engineering experienceRegistered Fire Protection PEProficient in standard engineering techniques/proceduresKnowledge of the International Code Council (ICC), NFPA 101, NFPA 13, and NFPA 72NICET certification in Water-Based System Layout, Fire Alarm Systems, or Special Hazards Systems a plus (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies)Working knowledge of building codes, fire codes, NFPA standards, FM Global datasheets, military standards, and refinery/industrial API guidelinesExperience with Revit, BIM, and Microsoft Office skillsSalary is commensurate with experience.Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.Please contact Laura Harrison for further information!www.harrisonconsultingsolutions.com517-906-6926
