Dietary Cook
Job Summary:
At Tampico Healthcare Center, we are committed to providing the highest standard of skilled nursing and rehab centrally located in Walnut Creek, CA, and within walking distance to John Muir MedicalCenter. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods for residents/patients, employees, and visitors. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods according to menus and recipes
Plan cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules
Perform related duties and cleaning duties as assigned
Direct other Food and Nutrition Services employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in commercial/volume food preparation required
Serve-Safe Certification required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language
Ability to positively interact with residents/patients
Ability to solve operational problems in the absence of Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager

Reports to: Dietary Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Schedule:
AM Shifts: 10:30AM-7:00PM
$23 or more depending on experience
