Our client is a nationally recognized law firm representing businesses, financial institutions, trustees, creditors, debtors, and stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring, insolvency, and commercial litigation matters. The firm is known for handling complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, distressed asset transactions, and high-stakes bankruptcy litigation across multiple industries.

The client is seeking an experienced Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Attorney to join its growing Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice. This role offers the opportunity to work fully remotely while managing sophisticated Chapter 11 matters for corporate debtors, creditors' committees, secured lenders, trustees, and other stakeholders in complex insolvency proceedings nationwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters from inception through confirmation and post-confirmation proceedings
  • Represent debtors, creditors, committees, lenders, trustees, and other parties in interest in bankruptcy court proceedings
  • Draft and argue motions, objections, pleadings, and other bankruptcy-related filings
  • Manage contested matters, adversary proceedings, and complex bankruptcy litigation
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel regarding insolvency, restructuring, and distressed transactions
  • Participate in negotiations involving restructuring plans, asset sales, DIP financing, and settlements
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and internal legal teams on sophisticated restructuring strategies
  • Appear remotely and in-person for hearings, mediations, and court proceedings as needed


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing preferred
  • 2+ years of experience handling Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters
  • Strong experience with bankruptcy litigation, motion practice, and contested proceedings


Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$200,000 – $350,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
