Job ID: 10377544 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.
Do you want to work in Relational Database Service (RDS) for PostgreSQL which is one of the fastest‑growing AWS businesses? PostgreSQL is the only DBMS that has been named the database of the year 3 times by DB‑Engines. It is a fast‑growing database in the industry where related expertise and experience is highly sought after. Our Database Engineering Team for RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL builds, improves and manages PostgreSQL as a fully managed database service. This role is not a typical DBA or DBE role; instead, you are a core database engineer working closely with developers, product and program managers, contributing throughout the entire product cycle: feature brainstorming, design, implementation, validation, and customer escalation.
As part of the day, you will design and code solutions, implement automation, build metrics, resolve defects, participate in design discussions, review code, and collaborate with stakeholders in a fast‑paced, startup‑like setting.
The base salary range for this position is 145,900.00 – 197,400.00 USD annually. Locations include Dallas, TX and Redmond, WA. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription), Basic Life & AD&D insurance, optional supplemental life plans, EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
