The RoleThe Director, Partnerships will drive strategic revenue growth by developing, closing, and expanding high-impact partnerships with tech, AI, and consumer retail organizations. This person will own a book of business focused on San Francisco and the broader Bay Area, crafting integrated, multi-platform solutions that leverage TIME's full portfolio across media, content, events, and thought leadership.This is an opportunity to sell against one of the most powerful and differentiated offerings in media. Partners also have access to branded content and custom opportunities, including TIME Studios programs like Executive Spotlight, alongside an expanding suite of digital products.The role will report to our Chief Revenue Officer, US and will work remotely from a home office while maintaining a strong in-person presence with clients across the San Francisco Bay Area.ResponsibilitiesLead the overall partnership and B2B revenue growth strategy for a portfolio of Tech, AI, and consumer retail opportunities.Prospect, pitch, and close complex, high-value partnerships that may include branded content, sponsorships, live and virtual events, licensing, thought leadership platforms, and custom programs.Build and maintain senior-level relationships (including C-suite, CMOs, Heads of Brand/Marketing, and Partnership leads) across major technology and adjacent sectors in the Bay Area.Collaborate closely with internal teams (Integrated Marketing, Editorial, Events, Creative, Finance, Legal, Account Management, etc.) to develop compelling proposals and deliver best-in-class execution.Analyze market trends across the technology and innovation landscape to identify whitespace opportunities and inform go-to-market strategies for TIME's commercial offerings.Manage accurate forecasting, pipeline development, and reporting; consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.Represent TIME at key industry events and client-facing engagements in San Francisco, the Bay Area, and other priority markets as needed.Promote and abide by our commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.Qualifications10+ years of experience in brand partnerships, integrated media sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within media, technology, or digital platforms.Proven track record of selling into Big Tech and other Bay Area companies, with demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships.Existing or recently held senior-level relationships within the Bay Area technology and consumer retail ecosystem strongly preferred.Strong strategic and consultative selling skills, with the ability to translate client needs into creative, integrated partnership solutions.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including experience presenting to C-level and senior decision-makers.Highly collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving priorities and products.Enthusiastic about innovation, positive-change and collaboration.Note: This position is not represented by the NewsGuild of New York.LocationThis is a remote role. The responsibilities of this role may be performed remotely from a home office.
