Location: San Jose, CA

Schedule: Sundays, 3:00 PM–7:00 PM

Hours: 4 hours per week to start, hours will expand to full time!

Start Date: This Sunday, introductory meeting.

Job Description:

Friends & Family Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver for a new case starting this Sunday in San Jose.

This position begins as 1 day per week for 4 hours as an introductory/trial schedule so the family can meet the caregiver and ensure it is the right fit. If all goes well, the schedule is expected to expand soon and may grow into a more consistent or fuller schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluent in Mandarin
Female caregiver preferred based on family comfort and care needs
Familiarity with Taiwanese culture, communication style, and food preferences strongly preferred
Experienced with senior care, mobility support, and fall-risk clients
Kind, patient, professional, and dependable

Care Duties May Include:

Companionship and emotional support
Meal preparation and assistance with eating
Light housekeeping and laundry
Mobility monitoring and walking support
Transfer assistance
Bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
Exercise assistance

Client Care Notes:

Client speaks Mandarin only
Client is a fall risk and needs a caregiver who is attentive and safety-focused
Must be comfortable assisting with walking using a walker and wheelchair support
There is a friendly dog in the home, so caregiver must be comfortable around pets
