Location: San Francisco, CaliforniaOur Client is looking to hire a Field Engineer - Residential Energy to work alongside their deployment teams. They sell a hard solution that interfaces with solar chargers and EVs. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in enabling installer channel sales by accelerating the scale up of their installer network by having technical training directly in the field, all over the US wherever installer customers may be located. (primarily in the southwest USA)Main responsibilitiesProvide on-customer premise training of new installers during onboardingProvide technical support during installer sales outreachProvide troubleshooting services as requiredProvide ad hoc technical support during demonstrations and in other partner channels as requiredMust Have SkillsBachelors in Engineering from top tier university or equivalent.At least 3 years of hands‑on field experience supporting selling and installing of new/innovative product in the residential and/or energy and troubleshootingWorking knowledge of US electrical codeWorking knowledge of power electronicsSome knowledge of EV charging communication protocols (ISO 15118) and DER integration protocols (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR) are a strong plusWorking knowledge of IoT communication protocolsNice to Have SkillsEntrepreneurial mindset, result oriented and strong EQGreat communication and presentation skillsAbility and willingness to travel; 85%+ in the US - primarily in the southwest USA#J-18808-Ljbffr
