Software Development Engineer In Test

Pay Range: $50hr - $53hr

The SDET Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality through detailed testing, defect analysis, and collaboration with development teams.

This role focuses on understanding system behavior, validating business rules, and supporting automation efforts by providing well-structured testing scenarios and insights.

Experience:

• 35 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities:

• Create test cases based on specifications and system behavior.
• Analyze data flows, state transitions, business rules, and failure modes during testing.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing.
• Debug and analyze issues by reviewing logs, inspecting responses, and identifying root causes.
• Report defects with clear context and actionable details.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and SDETs during development cycles.
• Provide structured input to support test automation initiatives.
• Ensure QA activities are integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.

• Experience with TestRail for test management.
• Experience with Azure Boards for work tracking.

• Understanding of test automation concepts and CI pipelines.
• Experience with API testing.
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cybersecurity products, or configuration-driven systems.
