The Benefits team is an important subset of the HR team and is responsible for creating and delivering best in class, innovative benefits, and experiences for a rapidly growing employee population, both in and out of the US.
We're hiring a Leave & Accommodation Specialist to own day-to-day operations across OpenAI's leave of absence and workplace accommodations programs. This is a hands-on, employee-facing role responsible for intake and case management, policy and compliance execution, HRIS and payroll coordination, and vendor partnership.
You'll serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers navigating leave or accommodation needs, exercising sound judgment and discretion in sensitive situations, and helping improve tools, documentation, and workflows across Total Rewards. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Leave & Accommodation.
This role is based in our San Francisco office, and we aren't considering remote applications at this time. We do encourage you to apply even if you prefer a fully remote role as location factors may change over time.
We offer relocation support to new employees, and we use a hybrid model: three days in the office per week with optional work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.
