Position: Defense Litigation Attorney

Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation: Competitive base up to $200k + strong bonus + benefits

A well-established litigation firm basedin Oakland is seeking a Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. The firm represents businesses, insurers, and individuals in a wide range of civil litigation matters and is known for providing strategic, high-quality legal representation. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Take and defend depositions, including parties and expert witnesses

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in defense litigation

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 – $220,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
