Description
Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, has an opening for a Prep Cook!
Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing/packing produce, proteins and other food products for our commissary kitchen to distributeto all Woodlands Market locations. Prep Cooks may also cook product under the direction of the kitchen manager.
- Produce quality food goods in a consistent standardized manner according to accepted recipes for all Woodlands Market locations.
- Maintain quality assurance and consistency of finished products.
- At all times, observe standard operating procedures of safety and food sanitation including, Time & Temperature control and proper storage for all product, Food Handling, Personal safety and protective equipment
- Basic food preparation and kitchen flow knowledge a plus
- Knife skills a plus (will need to learn if you do not have them)
Required Skills:
- Restaurant, deli or similar food preparation-based experience preferred but not required
- Able to prioritize work and handle multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills & ability to prioritize work, handling multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Self-starter, taking an initiative to get work done even when not supervised
