Description:

Miller Starr Regalia, a real property litigation, transactional and land use law firm seeks a full-time Floater Overflow Legal Secretary for its main office in Walnut Creek. The Floater Overflow position covers absences and assists legal secretaries and attorneys with overflow support in the litigation, transactional and land use practice groups. The qualified candidate will possess 4+ years of recent legal secretary experience.


Proficiency with traditional and e-filing in both state and federal courts and a working knowledge of all phases of the civil litigation process, including pleadings, briefs, TOA's, TOC's, discovery and other legal documents is required.


Technical Proficiency Requirements:

  • MS Office 365;
  • Ability to create and manipulate PDFs;
  • Experience with iManage/Filesite (or equivalent document management program); and
  • FormsWorkflow (or equivalent program) (preferred).


This position requires exceptional organizational and people skills and the ability to adapt to different practices and preferences on a daily basis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and work collaboratively with other teammates to ensure coverage for attorneys in all our practice groups as needed.


This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, seven hours per day. Full-time non-exempt staff are offered a voluntary remote hybrid schedule. After 60 days of employment, employees select a regular schedule to work two days remote and three days in the Walnut Creek office. The projected annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including relevant skills and experience. Salary is one piece of Miller Starr Regalia's total compensation package, which includes firm-sponsored benefits. EOE
