Job Title: Shop Manager (Part-Time)

Location: Inner Sunset, San Francisco, CA (in-person)

Hours: Saturday and Sunday 9:00am-4:00pm

Compensation: $25+/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We're looking for a dependable and proactive Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail space. This person will serve as a key holder, ensure smooth day-to-day function, and help create a welcoming, organized, and mission-aligned experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the store independently
• Greet and assist customers with a high level of empathy and attunement
• Manage POS transactions and refunds via Ricochet
• Oversee consignment intake and inventory processes
• Keep the shop tidy, organized, and visually appealing
• Perform light cleaning and plant care as needed
• Coordinate with owner on scheduling, promotions, and restocks
• Maintain basic back-office tasks and logs
• Communicate customer feedback and issues promptly

Ideal Candidate

• Connection to the local community and very comfortable interacting with diverse children and families at all stages of parenthood
• Strong organization skills
• Confident working solo and taking initiative
• Warm, personable, and aligned with our values
• Previous retail, keyholder, or management experience preferred
• Familiar with Ricochet or other POS systems (or quick to learn)
• Passionate about sustainability, parenting, or community care
