M&A Execution Assistant | San Francisco | $90,000–$97,000 Base + Bonus + 401(k)
A highly respected global investment bank is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented M&A Execution Assistant to support a high-performing investment banking team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, gain direct exposure to live M&A transactions, and play a key role in deal execution within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, highly organized, intellectually curious, and excited to grow within the investment banking and M&A space.
What You'll Do
• Support end-to-end M&A execution, including preparation and formatting of client deliverables and marketing materials
• Assist deal teams with transaction materials such as company overviews, industry research, and data gathering
• Conduct research using internal systems and external sources to support live transactions
• Attend deal-related meetings, capture notes, and track key follow-ups and action items
• Manage complex calendars across multiple bankers, prioritizing meetings and resolving scheduling conflicts
• Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and process expense reports
• Draft, format, and refine professional communications with discretion and accuracy
• Serve as a central coordination point for the deal team across internal stakeholders
• Support meeting and event logistics including conference rooms, A/V, and catering
• Collaborate with other administrative professionals to ensure seamless team coverage
• Anticipate needs, stay ahead of priorities, and help drive execution efficiency
What We're Looking For
• 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, professional environment (financial services or advisory preferred)
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Advanced calendar management and scheduling experience
• High attention to detail with strong formatting and presentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Discreet, professional, and trusted with confidential information
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in learning the M&A process end-to-end
Role Details
Full-time, in-office role with occasional remote Fridays
Exposure to live M&A transactions and senior-level deal teams
Occasional after-hours responsiveness required due to deal activity
Compensation
$90,000 – $97,000 base salary + bonus + 401(k) + full benefits
