This is an opportunity to make clear, measurable impact. You'll support the CTO directly and lead a focused pod while remaining deeply hands-on — building production-grade systems at the intersection of backend engineering and applied AI.

Around 25% of U.S. healthcare spending is administrative, and a huge amount of that is tied to manual, phone-based workflows. That's the problem you'll help solve through agentic voice AI and healthcare workflow automation.

Having just closed their Series B after 10x revenue growth in the last 8 months, the company is now scaling its engineering team.

This is a Tech Lead role in the truest sense — you'll own a complex backend architecture and be responsible for driving output across a small pod of engineers (2 junior engineers), while continuing to contribute as a high-caliber individual contributor.

The focus is heavily backend. You'll be architecting and building scalable, low-latency systems and services that power AI-driven healthcare workflows in production. While you don't need to be deeply embedded in LLM development, you should be comfortable operating in an AI-native environment.

They're looking for someone with ~10+ years of experience, a strong technical background, and ideally some prior experience leading small teams or pods. This isn't a management role — you'll be expected to lead from the front, delegate effectively, and remain hands-on in building systems.
