Square Pie Guys, a nationally acclaimed Detroit-style pizza Restaurant, has experienced remarkable growth since our inception as a pop-up in September 2018, we have since expanded to six brick-and-mortar locations and five licensed ghost kitchens throughout the Bay Area, with soaring sales and recognition from the SF Chronicle, Eater Infatuation, and Thrillist. We're seeking to expand our team with a Regional Manager who can contribute to our evolution as the best pizza brand in the Bay Area.

As a Regional Manager for Square Pie Guys, your role will occupy high visibility and set the standard for those you lead and those who come after. Your day-to-day, week-to-week, and year-to-year will focus on owning every aspect of store operations, from feeding our guests to building relationships with the team to contributing to the overall growth and success of the brand. You are the ears, eyes, and smiles of Square Pie Guys.

As a Regional Manager of Square Pie Guys, this is a high level position with heavy ownership of all things store - from the operations to the strategy of sales building and special events, to mentoring future organizational leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and mentors the performance of all employees of the Palo Alto and Campbell restaurants as well as a San Jose Licensee (quality and performance only).

  • Works with junior management team and senior management to create a culture of excellence and hospitality

  • Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing and implementing exceptional customer service practices, emphasizing hospitality, and consistently exceeding guest expectations

  • Works proactively to identify solutions for team and senior management

  • Oversees/ ensures the appropriate ordering, storage, organization and preparation of all food and beverage items, as well as maintains stock of needed business supplies

  • Oversees/ produces a weekly schedule for team members, consistently publishing with 2 weeks notice

  • Leads by example on the floor during peak service, working alongside the team in both the kitchen and front of house as needed

  • Compiles biweekly payroll reports to allow accounting team to pay out

  • Ensures the management of all store-level invoices, receipts, and inter-company transfers

  • Organizes, staffs, and coordinates high volume catering orders to ensure seamless execution from prep through fulfillment

  • Owns large swaths of the store level P&Ls, balancing cost management with the human side of hospitality and people management

  • Contributes to and executes on team training materials, initiatives and programs

  • Works hand in hand with senior management to create a warm nurturing environment for both our team and our guests

  • Assists with the creation and execution of a Shift Leads / Assistant Manager program, as well as a peer to peer mentorship program

  • Manages through their managers, using shift leads and assistant managers to lead the team to greater success

  • Motivates, leads, creates influence at all levels of the organization

  • Wears a variety of hats as business needs dictate; comfortable with ambiguity

Ideal Candidate

  • At least 5 years experience managing high volume, fast casual, quick service, production kitchens, or full-service restaurant

  • Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and leads with strong soft skills across communication, teamwork, and leading by example

  • Physically able and willing to work on the floor during peak service in both kitchen and FOH environments

  • Experienced in coordinating and executing high volume catering programs, including staffing and logistics

  • A leader that prioritizes the growth, well-being, and empowerment of employees

  • Bilingual/fluent in Spanish and English

  • Not afraid of a computer or willing to learn any and everything

  • Has supervised or managed before

  • ServSafe Manager Certified

  • Interested in helping build systems as our organization grows and scales

  • Manages their and others' time well
