Who This Is For:
This role is not for everyone.
We re looking for someone who is drawn to coffee in their own way and takes pride in connecting with people around a shared experience. We recommend you enjoy interacting with others and understand that connection takes effort. It requires awareness, timing, and the ability to read a moment.
You would be a great fit if you are comfortable working quickly, staying organized under pressure, and maintaining a high standard even when the line is long.
Reliability is non-negotiable. Early mornings (it is a coffee biz), some physical work, and consistent execution are part of the role.
You understand that people come for the coffee, but return because of the people behind the counter. Familiarity with the Bay Area's hospitality/food scene is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Help load and unload equipment, inventory, and supplies (up to 50 lbs)
Assist in the setup of the market booth, including coffee equipment and display
Support high-volume service alongside the owner
Love talking about coffee; engage with customers, answer questions, and represent the brand
Handle transactions accurately (cash + POS)
Maintain a clean, organized station throughout the shift
Restock supplies and retail products
Break down, clean, and pack all equipment after service
This can be fast-paced work. You will be on your feet for extended periods, working outdoors in varying conditions.
Growth Path:
Transition into a barista role after completing training and obtaining a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
Opportunity to learn the coffee business beyond the barista role
Take on more responsibility as you demonstrate consistency and capability and transition into a more senior role
