Component Design & Structural Analysis Engineer – Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Component Design & Structural Analysis Engineer, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, or remote. This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical design, structural modeling, and analysis experience who are passionate about developing advanced, safety-critical components for next-generation nuclear systems.
The Component Design & Structural Analysis Engineer will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design and structural evaluation of reactor components, subsystems, and support structures within Hadron Energy's micro modular reactor (MMR). This individual will work closely with reactor design, materials, thermal-hydraulics, manufacturing, and licensing teams to ensure components meet stringent functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.
You will play a central role in transforming conceptual designs into manufacturable, high-performance components by using advanced simulation tools, design methodologies, and structural engineering thinking to advance Hadron's reactor design toward commercial deployment.
