The Bilingual Production Supervisor will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations within a hands-on production environment focused on display assembly. This role is responsible for supervising union, non-union, and temporary staff, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the department.



Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across union, non-union, and temporary staff
  • Ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and production equipment to meet output and cost targets
  • Prepare daily production startup plans and monitor production performance and efficiency
  • Track and report on production progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals
  • Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and operational data
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production team members to improve performance and output
  • Foster a positive team environment, maintaining morale and accountability across the workforce
  • Partner with leadership on hiring decisions, promotions, and performance management
  • Ensure proper inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and operational efficiencies
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Support implementation of new production methods and processes in partnership with engineering
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives and committees
  • Communicate effectively with leadership on production status, risks, and opportunities



Qualifications:


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (retail display or similar industry preferred)
  • Experience working with union and non-union teams strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of production processes such as printing, assembly, kitting, and finishing is a plus
  • Familiarity with equipment such as stitchers, gluers, and adhesive applicators preferred
  • Ability to read and understand production workflows and line setups
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required)
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to operate with a high level of ownership

  • Ability to work off-shift hours as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Work performed in a production/manufacturing environment
