Your Role with the Company:

  • Lead the kitchen with a hands-on, service-driven approach, balancing day-to-day execution with a strong commitment to food quality, consistency, and hospitality
  • Oversee all back-of-house operations, including staffing, scheduling, ordering, inventory, prep flow, and kitchen organization to support an efficient and well-run operation
  • Manage food cost, labor cost, and overtime with a sharp operational mindset, identifying opportunities to improve margins without compromising quality or guest experience
  • Coach, train, and develop the culinary team to build skill, accountability, and bench strength, creating a culture of growth, consistency, and shared ownership
  • Partner in menu execution and refinement, helping identify opportunities for improved sales, smarter prep, and cost-saving efficiencies while preserving the integrity and continuity of the cuisine
  • Uphold high standards for taste, preparation, plating, sanitation, and overall kitchen performance, ensuring every dish reflects a refined and consistent guest experience
  • Bring thoughtful leadership and operational ideas to the role, contributing to systems improvements, stronger team support, and a more sustainable kitchen structure in a high-volume environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a $4M+ full-service upscale or fine dining Italian restaurant
  • Preference for candidates with a genuine passion for Italian cooking
  • Deep understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and health department standards
  • Expertise in crafting daily changing menus that highlight local, seasonal ingredients
  • Strong experience maintaining inventory control and managing food and labor costs effectively
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with the restaurant's culture
