• Utilities AI Lead / AI Transformation Lead – Utilities
Key Responsibilities
• AI Strategy & Roadmap
• Partner with the Client's Enterprise Architect to define and continuously evolve the AI vision and multi year AI roadmap for utility business and IT operations.
• Identify, prioritize, and sequence AI, ML, and Agentic use cases across grid operations, asset management, customer operations, planning, and enterprise functions.
• Ensure alignment of AI initiatives with enterprise architecture principles, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Executive & C Suite Engagement
• Lead C suite level discussions (CIO, CTO, COO, CDO, Business Presidents) on AI strategy, value realization, and transformation outcomes.
• Create and deliver executive grade presentations, strategy decks, and board level narratives that clearly articulate ROI, risk, and business impact of AI investments.
• Act as a thought partner to client executives, influencing decision making and long term digital investment priorities.
• AI Solution Leadership
• Provide architectural and technical leadership across AI/ML platforms, GenAI solutions, and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Guide solution design spanning data pipelines, model selection, orchestration layers, MLOps/LLMOps, and enterprise integration.
• Review and govern AI solution designs to ensure scalability, reliability, explainability, and ethical AI practices.
• External Thought Leadership & Innovation
• Bring demonstrated external credibility through published research, patents, and prior AI transformations delivered for enterprise clients.
• Leverage prior client experience to bring proven patterns, accelerators, and reusable frameworks to the utility ecosystem.
• Represent the organization in client forums, innovation councils, and executive workshops as a recognized AI thought leader.
• 15+ years of overall experience with 8+ years in AI / ML leadership roles, including enterprise scale deployments.
• Proven experience working directly with Enterprise Architects to define AI strategies and roadmaps.
• Deep hands on and architectural expertise in:
o Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
o Generative AI and Foundation Models
o Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration patterns
o Data platforms, MLOps / LLMOps, and cloud native AI stacks
• Strong executive communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex AI concepts to C suite and board level audiences.
Preferred / Differentiating Credentials
• Named inventor on one or more AI/ML related patents.
• Published research papers in reputed international journals or conferences (IEEE, ACM, Springer, Elsevier, NeurIPS, ICML, etc.).
• Demonstrated success delivering AI programs for multiple enterprise or utility clients, from strategy through production scale.
• Experience in regulated industries (Utilities, Energy, Infrastructure, Public Sector) is highly preferred.
• Recognized as a thought leader through conference speaking, whitepapers, or industry consortium participation.

Role Summary
• The Utilities AI Lead will be responsible for shaping and driving the client's enterprise wide AI strategy in close partnership with the Client's Enterprise Architect and senior technology leadership. This role will define the AI roadmap, identify high value use cases across utility operations, and lead the adoption of advanced AI, ML, and Agentic frameworks. The incumbent will act as a trusted advisor to the client's C suite, translating complex AI concepts into business impact narratives and executable transformation programs.
