Position Overview
The will support our logistics and supply chain operations. In this role, you will assist in planning and coordinating shipments, communicating with suppliers and forwarders, and ensuring smooth transportation processes. You will also help maintain accurate records, track costs, and support compliance with industry regulations. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; role will start as part-time with potential to convert to full-time
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and coordination of logistics operations, including shipments, deliveries, and storage.
Prepare and verify shipping and customs documents (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, AWB, ISF, 7501, etc.)
Communicate with suppliers, forwarders, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues and ensure seamless operations.
Perform data entry into company systems, spreadsheets, and databases to maintain accurate shipment records, tracking information, and logistics documentation.
Maintain accurate records of all shipments and deliveries to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Assist with customs clearance processes, tariff classification (HTS codes), and duty/tax coordination
Monitor and track transportation costs, providing reports on key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Assist in handling customer inquiries and resolving any delivery-related issues in a timely manner.
Support additional supply chain and administrative tasks as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma; Preferred Associate's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or general operations.
Internship experience is acceptable
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn industry-specific software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work cross-functionally and with external partners
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
Preferred
Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
Knowledge of supply chain procedures, international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Prior experience in a manufacturing, importing, or trading company.
Familiarity with freight forwarding and transportation cost analysis.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $20-$28 (DOE) + eligible for bonuse plans. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience.
PTO (part time 5 days, full time starting at 10 days), 8 Holidays, no medical benefits but company provides a monthly medical allowance, 401k with matching.
