Description:

We are seeking a Customer Stories Video Director to join our team. This role will involve leading the creative vision and execution of customer story content, including case studies, testimonials, and documentary-style films. The ideal candidate will have experience in video directing, storytelling, and production, with a passion for capturing authentic human narratives behind real-world technology use cases.

Job Description:

The Customer Stories Video Director will lead end-to-end production of customer-focused video content, translating real customer experiences into compelling, emotionally engaging narratives. This role sits within the Creative Studio and collaborates closely with Customer Marketing, brand, and creative teams.

The candidate will manage the full production lifecycle—from concept development and story sourcing to directing shoots and guiding post-production. This position requires strong storytelling ability, leadership on set, and the ability to maintain creative excellence across both internal and external production efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct customer story films end-to-end, including concept development, filming, editing, and delivery.
  • Creative direct projects executed through external agencies and production partners
  • Partner with Customer Marketing and Account teams to identify and shape impactful customer stories
  • Conduct and direct on-camera interviews, extracting authentic and meaningful narratives.
  • Develop creative treatments and storytelling frameworks that align with brand messaging.
  • Lead production crews on-site, including camera, sound, lighting, and logistics coordination
  • Guide post-production processes, including editing, color grading, and sound design.
  • Build scalable frameworks for customer video content across formats and regions
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and production teams to ensure quality and consistency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in video directing or production, with strong focus on documentary, testimonial, or customer story content.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing storytelling, filmmaking, and production expertise
  • Strong interviewing skills with the ability to draw out authentic, human stories on camera
  • Experience directing on-location shoots in dynamic environments
  • Deep understanding of the full video production lifecycle (pre-production through delivery).
  • Experience managing external production partners and creative direction
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills when working with production crews and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to align creative, marketing, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in documentary filmmaking or branded storytelling
  • Experience producing customer or case study content for technology companies
  • Familiarity with cinematography or hands-on production techniques
  • Experience working closely with editors and post-production teams
  • Experience managing multi-region or travel-based productions
  • Understanding of content delivery across web, social, and event platforms
  • Interest or familiarity with AI technologies and enterprise applications
