Cashier — 99 Ranch Market

Location: 338 Barber Ln, Milpitas, CA 95035

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (30+ hours per week)

Pay: $18.20–$20.20/hour depending on experience

Schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays. Shifts range from as early as 8:00 AM to as late as 10:00 PM.

About the Role

99 Ranch Market's Milpitas location is hiring a Cashier to be the face of the store at checkout. You'll ring up customers quickly and accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and help shoppers with questions, returns, and online orders. This is a fast-paced front-end role where strong people skills and the ability to memorize product codes make all the difference.

What You'll Do

• Ring up and bag customer orders quickly and accurately using the POS system
• Memorize and apply checkout codes for produce and specialty items
• Handle cash, card, and digital payments following all cash-handling procedures
• Process returns, exchanges, and online orders per company policy
• Greet customers, answer questions in person and by phone, and resolve complaints with care
• Update pricing, create price tags, and make sure signage is accurate
• Keep your checkout area clean, organized, and ready for the next customer

Required

• Bilingual in Chinese or Cantonese with conversational English
• Available to work weekends and holidays, 30+ hours per week
• Strong memory — you'll need to learn and recall checkout codes quickly
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred

• Availability for both early shifts (starting at 8:00 AM) and late shifts (ending around 10:00 PM)
• Previous cashier or customer service experience
• Bilingual in Spanish is also a plus
