Working with the finance and business leadership team as well as key cross-functional personnel including business development, commercial, clinical, and development operations, this position will support the company's long-term strategic and financial initiatives .Responsibilities:Lead Long Range Planning (LRP) process for Vera, working with financial leadership to set long-range strategic and financial objectives that inform near-term planning, while maintaining regular discussions with cross-functional partners to ensure models are updated regularlyWork closely with Finance & Accounting to support capital formation strategy for the business. Support activities related to investor relations and equity / debt / alternative financing, including Wall Street analyst engagementPrepare materials for IR events, including earnings releases, business updates, investor events, curtain raisers, etc.Conduct industry research and synthesize insights to support Vera's corporate objectivesAid Finance & Accounting leadership in cash runway analyses, budget and headcount planning, and cost effectiveness projectsOrganize and manage special projects that are critical to Vera's long-term successDevelop and maintain highly productive relationships across the company to support continuous LRP refinement, clinical and commercial development, and execution of long-term strategyQualifications:10+ years of relevant experience in biotech and/or corporate financeBS and/or MBATrack record of developing and executing on strategic initiatives to achieve long-term corporate vision and maximize valueTop-notch financial, strategic planning, and business planning skills, including the independent ability to prepare robust long-term financial modelsRobust understanding of valuation and financial concepts (valuation methods, capital structure dynamics, etc.)Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executivesExceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a fact- and data-driven decision making mentalityHigh energy, with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approachStrong organizational skills, ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast paced environmentExperienced in leading change and a demonstrated ability to accomplish results and meet deadlines and commitmentsAbility to travel up to ~20% based on company needVera Therapeutics Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.Vera Therapeutics is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is: $200K. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
