Scion Executive Search has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of a high-growth, profitable $30M SaaS organization operating at the intersection of AI and marketing technology. With strong fundamentals and increasing market traction, the company is entering a pivotal stage—requiring a forward-thinking financial leader to build infrastructure, enhance visibility, and guide long-term strategic decisions.The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the financial architect of the organization, owning the full financial function while transforming data into actionable insights for executive leadership. This is a highly hands-on, build-and-operate role requiring both operational rigor and strategic foresight.The CFO will play a critical role in modernizing financial systems, implementing scalable reporting infrastructure, and leveraging AI-driven tools to accelerate decision-making. Over time, this leader will act as a key strategic advisor on capital deployment, growth strategy, and potential liquidity events including M&A, fundraising, or IPO readiness.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyOwn and oversee the full financial function, including P&L reporting across multiple entitiesTranslate financial data into actionable insights to support executive decision-makingPartner with leadership to advise on cost optimization, revenue strategy, and financial performanceIdentify and implement key financial metrics and KPIs to monitor business healthFinancial Operations & InfrastructureLead month-end close processes and ensure accuracy across all financial reportingAudit and improve accounting processes, including classification logic and reconciliation practicesOversee vendor payments, contractor payments, and financial operations workflowsBuild scalable financial infrastructure to support continued growthData, Analytics & AI IntegrationIndependently extract, analyze, and model financial data without reliance on a data teamUtilize AI-driven tools to automate reporting, generate insights, and improve forecasting accuracyDevelop advanced financial models to support planning, forecasting, and strategic initiativesCross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with department leaders to contextualize financial performance and inform decision-makingProvide clear, digestible financial narratives for non-finance stakeholdersSupport finance operations and ensure alignment across teamsStrategic Growth & Capital PlanningAdvise on mergers, acquisitions, and expansion opportunitiesLead preparation for potential fundraising, acquisition, or public offeringSupport long-term financial planning as the organization scales toward $100M+ ARRQualifications8+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in a CFO or VP Finance roleProven experience owning financial operations and P&L across multiple entitiesExperience supporting or leading fundraising, IPO preparation, or M&A initiativesStrong financial modeling and data analysis capabilitiesDeep expertise in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and financial best practicesExperience working within SaaS environments, including familiarity with ARR, churn, and NRR metricsDemonstrated ability to operate independently and thrive in a lean, fast-paced environmentExceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insightsPreferredExperience in bootstrapped or capital-efficient growth environmentsFamiliarity with AI-driven tools for financial analysis and automationBackground in multi-entity accounting structuresExperience supporting global teams or distributed workforcesCompensation And BenefitsThis exceptional opportunity offers the ability to make a meaningful impact within a high-growth, innovative organization.Base Salary: $250,000 – $350,000 (DOE)Equity: Participation available, details discussed during offer stageBenefits Include:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement planUnlimited PTOPaid parental leaveProfessional development supportAdditional lifestyle and wellness benefitsHow To ApplyFor immediate consideration, please provide your resume and cover letter online via Our FirmScion Executive Search is an award-winning, retained executive search firm.
