Our goal is an AI for voice conversations that's as natural as talking to a person.

MetaVoice is founded by:

  • Sid, founding engineer at Wayve.ai ( $2B+ raised)
  • Vatsal, co-created Alexa's first AI voice.

Today's voice AI fails at real-world conversations. It's slow, turn-based like a walkie-talkie, breaks with interruptions, and doesn't understand emotion.

Developers can't build compelling experiences and users disengage. This limits voice AI to simple receptionist tasks and basic customer support, blocking meaningful services (sales, therapy, coaching) where dialogue and emotional intelligence matter most. Scaling current tech does not work.

Our approach is a duplex speech-to-speech model that learns conversational behaviour directly from data.

That's how we make voice the most natural way to interact with AI.

What you'll do

This is an execution-heavy operations role responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the company.

  • Operations: Own and manage core business operations including payroll, accounting, legal, immigration, insurance, and vendors.
  • Systems & processes: Set up and maintain internal systems, processes, and automation to improve efficiency.
  • Hiring support: Support operational hiring (e.g. voice actors, data labellers).
  • Events & culture: Coordinate team events, offsites, and internal activities to support team culture.
  • Office management: Own the physical workspace, ensuring a high-quality working environment.
  • GTM support: Opportunity to help with outreach, prospecting, and sales data analysis as we build out go-to-market.

Who you are

  • Experience in a startup or operations
  • You have a track record of solving problems without being asked.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Clear & structured communicator
  • Comfortable using AI tools to automate and improve workflows

Compensation & Benefits

  • Significant equity as a founding team member.
  • $70K-90K base

Interview Process

We move with speed and aim to go from first interview to offer within a week.

  • Intro call (30 mins): chat with one of the founders about the mission + your background
  • Working session (1 hr): we'll tackle a real problem together to see how you think + operate
  • Culture interviews (2 x 30mins)
  • Onsite co-work: spend half a day with us meeting the team and iterating on a problem.
