About Doorvest
Doorvest is a modern, frictionless way to buy and own income-generating rental homes, entirely online. We give everyday investors access to institutional-grade real estate investing — from acquisition through ongoing property management. As we scale our portfolio and acquire property management companies, we're building the internal operations platform that makes it all work behind the scenes.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who sits at the intersection of product thinking, operational know-how, and hands-on building. You'll report directly to the Head of Product and play a key role in shaping how our operations team works — from the internal tools they use every day to the playbooks we run when integrating newly acquired property management companies into Doorvest.
This isn't a traditional PM role where you write specs and hand them off. You'll own the roadmap for our internal case management and pipeline board system, coordinate directly with engineering and ops, and — when the situation calls for it — build lightweight tools and prototypes yourself using AI-assisted development.
This role has four main areas of focus:
You'll own the product direction for our internal pipeline boards — the systems our ops team uses to manage leasing, renewals, move-outs, delinquency, Section 8 compliance, and more. You'll scope features, write engineering tickets, prioritize the backlog, run demos for the ops team, and make sure what we ship actually solves the problems they face every day.
As Doorvest acquires property management companies, you'll help manage the operational integration. That means comparing management agreements, mapping fee structures, building owner communication plans, coordinating portal migrations, and keeping the whole transition on track. You'll start by supporting the Head of Product on active integrations, with the goal of owning the playbook independently over time.
Our ops team is growing, and the way we work needs to grow with it. You'll support and help execute cross-functional projects that improve how the team operates—building SOPs, establishing reporting cadences, fixing handoff processes, and tracking workstreams to completion. You won't be setting the strategic agenda alone (that's the Head of Product and COO), but you'll be the person who helps turn "we need to fix this" into a plan with owners, milestones, and follow-through.
You're comfortable using AI-assisted development & automation tools (Claude, Cursor, N8N, Lovable.dev or similar) to prototype dashboards, automate workflows, or build internal utilities without waiting on engineering. You don't need to be a software engineer—but you should be someone who reaches for tools before asking someone else to build it for you.
