Position Summary: The Center for Accessible Technology is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Digital Accessibility Analyst with at least three years of VPAT and ACR experience to champion inclusive digital experiences. In this role, you will lead efforts to ensure digital platforms, tools, and content meet accessibility standards and best practices. Your expertise will help create equitable online environments that serve all users, including those with disabilities. This role is for an experienced Digital Accessibility Analyst to complete ACRs / VPATS to provide expert feedback for C4AT clients on the accessibility of websites, apps, and other technology for people with disabilities. Specifically, feedback will focus on providing information on compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and the impact on user experience. The Accessibility Analyst will consider a wide range of access challenges, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
The Analyst is tasked with:
· Creating standardized accessibility conformance reports (ACRs) using VPAT.
· Providing expert accessibility feedback on websites, apps, and other technology as needed for current and new C4AT clients. Feedback will optimally include recommendations for solutions.
· Identifying, documenting, and making recommendations to resolve usability issues that have the potential to undermine meaningful and successful use by individuals regardless of difference or disability to resolve code-level accessibility issues for web-based applications.
· Using assistive technologies, such as screen readers (like JAWS, Narrator, or NVDA) and other manual testing approaches to evaluate the accessibility of applications and their features.
· Using available automated tools, such as browser extensions and emulation utilities, to supplement manual findings.
· Working closely with the C4AT team director to provide reports via Excel, Word, AirTable, and/or client systems.
· Upon request, attending meetings as part of the normal course of work during business hours. This will generally be in the neighborhood of 4 -6 a month. All meetings are remote.
