- Cary out a wide array of both routine and complex lab tests-covering disciplines like chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while adhering to established laboratory protocols.
- Scrutinize results for accuracy, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure rigorous maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
- Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required.
- Keep complete records of all lab procedures, provide training to new staff members or students, and help to uphold high standards of laboratory quality.
- Ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment, fully complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree, with preparations for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within your first year of employment.
- Maintain active certification during the tenure of employment.
