Nielsen Merksamer LLP has two openings in its political law section for associates in its San Francisco Bay Area office.
Nielsen Merksamer is one of the preeminent political law, government law, and lobbying firms in the country. Our political law attorneys have extensive client contact and assist in advising the regulated community of corporations, individuals, nonprofits, trade associations, political and independent expenditure committees, and other public and private sector clients regarding campaign finance, lobby disclosure, and government ethics laws, including:
Candidates must possess strong academic credentials (top 20%) and excellent research and writing skills. Experience with government, political, regulatory, or similar work experience is a plus, although not mandatory. The firm has a team-oriented culture, and there are opportunities for flexible, hybrid work arrangements.
Salary & Benefits
Nielsen Merksamer offers a competitive salary. The annual salary range for this position, firm-wide, is $180,000 to $250,000+, based on factors including but not limited to: local market data, the applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, longevity, and pertinent degrees, licensing, and certifications. The salary range does not guarantee, obligate, nor set expectations for the applicant's wage in the event of hire.
