Manufacturing Operations Specialist (Contract – Day Shift)

Location: San Francisco, CA (100% Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines, including specialized safety procedures as required
• Operate, maintain, and support a variety of manufacturing equipment and production stations
• Develop and revise SOPs and work instructions to support consistent operations
• Partner with engineers to execute experiments (DOEs), collect data, and document results
• Assist with equipment qualification activities (e.g., repeatability, basic measurement studies)
• Support training of production staff on new and existing tools/processes
• Track production issues, log feedback, and perform basic troubleshooting on assembly/test systems
• Work with high-precision electro-mechanical assemblies, including basic alignment tasks

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or engineering technician roles
• Strong hands-on experience with equipment operation and process support
• Experience writing or updating technical documentation (SOPs/work instructions)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; basic exposure to Linux is a plus
• Solid problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs

Nice to Have

• Experience with LiDAR or similar sensing/optical technologies
• Exposure to SQL, JMP, JIRA, or basic Python
